Tea Sessions
During P.S. Art Book’s event at Face Guts Gallery, Studio PM hosted Tea Sessions, a food and beverage experience featuring handmade ceramic cups.
Inspired by Korean tea ceremonies, there is an emphasis on presence, conversation, and connection to take a pause from the hurried flow of everyday life. Each “Tea Session” follows a schedule of tea, snacks, the participant’s choice of cocktail (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), along with drinking snacks.

In escape, I rest
“In escape, I rest” is a sound and video installation that explores the abstraction of nostalgia and constructed recollection. It combines footage from cross-country road trips on Route 66 with layered color washes and gradients to evoke fragmented emotional landscapes.

Will it play in Peoria?
“Will it play in Peoria?” is a sound and video installation inspired by the colloquial phrase. The figure of speech is often used to question whether something will resonate with a broad audience. The installation reflects on the learned behaviors within pageantry, cultural standards of beauty, and the act of being celebrated by isolating gestures and movements sourced from found footage of beauty pageants.
